In
the Peaceful and calm environment of the Himalayan Queen
Shimla, The Honorable Governor of Himachal Pradesh Ms.
Prabha Devi honored the winners by presenting awards.
Along with the certificate as an award Godfrey has also
given check of Rs.11, 000 to the organization which will
help them to continue their efforts.
While presenting the award Ms. Governor appreciated Aagaz
for its efforts in helping rural women and children by
giving them the opportunity to earn their livelihood.
She also mentioned that, “I am happy to see that
people are coming forward to help their brothers and sister
in far villages who actually need help”.
This effort of Aagaz is really tremendous as it is helpful
for those who are not educated. These efforts can also
built in confidence and self dependency in the poor and
needy masses.
Ms. Preeti Kansal, Gen Secretary, Aagaz Charitable Foundation
said, “We share the firm belief that the role of
women, their mental make up and social-economic status
is the basic for shaping our future society. Thus there
is dire necessity for social and economic upliftment of
women. We are really proud to be recognized for our efforts.
Our organization since its existence had been working
for social causes and will keep on doing the same till
its existence.”

Aagaz Charitable Foundation:
Aagaz was established in April 2004 in Ludhiana with the
aim of upliftment of and up gradation of people help those
who are actually in need of help. Aagaz targets the rural
areas of Punjab. The organization works for upliftment
of rural women and children who are below poverty line.
Presently the organization consists of seven executive
members. In four years period Aagaz has already received
two prestigious awards. |
