On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, Aagaz NGO organized an insightful and thought-provoking webinar on the theme “Buddha and Women: A Radical Vision of Equality”. The event brought together esteemed speakers and participants to delve into the progressive ideals of Gautam Buddha and his vision of gender equality.

The session was initiated by Khushi Gupta, who warmly introduced the theme of the event and set the tone for the discussions ahead.

Following the introduction, the National Coordinator of Aagaz NGO, Adv. Aarti Dagar, extended a heartfelt welcome to the dignitaries – Dr. Chandrakanta K Mathur (Founder of Aagaz NGO), and the distinguished speakers Dr. Anu Mehra and Ms. Neelam Sangwan. She also provided a brief but inspiring introduction about their contributions and background.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Chandrakanta K Mathur, who shared profound insights on Buddha’s revolutionary approach to women’s rights and his inclusive vision that recognized women as equal seekers of truth and liberation.

This was followed by an engaging talk from Ms. Neelam Sangwan, who elaborated on the societal impact of Buddha’s teachings on women and their empowerment across history.

Dr. Anu Mehra, the speaker session with a scholarly perspective on the relevance of Buddha’s teachings in contemporary gender discourse, emphasizing the need to revisit and embody those values in today’s world.

At the end of the webinar, Dr. Chandrakanta K Mathur expressed her sincere gratitude to all for making the event successful and impactful.
